This is one of the best balanced games I’ve come across in a long time; however, it has its frustrations.
First up, the ability to play for a wide range of lower value stakes puts this game firmly in the sights of lower to medium stakes players, but with a big jackpot of 750,000 coins possible, higher stakes and big jackpot hunters will also be attracted to play.
The presentation is nice and smooth, with the cartoon king ruling over the five reels. They spin with a pleasing whirring noise and a gentle soundtrack.
Spins occur quickly during autoplay and, of course, when the Sticky Win feature kicks in, things get interesting.
Sticky Win ensures that regardless of what symbol hits a payline for you, any symbols not part of that win will be spun again.
If on that subsequent spin, they add another symbol to your payline, then you receive a larger payout and get the chance to spin any remaining reels again. In this way, you can build a small win of, say, three symbols into a much larger one.
Of course, the additional spins during Sticky Win are all free and the good news is that you don’t have to have just one symbol making a winning payline. You can use multiple symbols across multiple lines to claim a win.

The title ‘King of Slots’ is a rather bold statement but with wins fit for a King I think we can let it slide just this once. Unfortunately the size of wins is well and truly undermined by the lack of creativity in regards to the design.
You’d expect a glorious castle with beautiful surroundings, but nope – instead the background is very dark with a chequered floor. The King is situated to the right of the reels and has been designed in a style that reminded me of children’s cartoon SpongeBob Squarepants, however bar his eyes blinking there is minimal movement – definitely disappointing when compared to the animated characters we are so used to seeing in 3D slots these days!
The music playing in the background is reminiscent of that in fellow Net Ent slot Twin Spin, plus it boasts a 97% return to player percentage for you to get your money’s worth, and with a maximum win of 750,000 coins which is certainly achievable thanks to the Sticky Win and Free Spins features it’s certainly worth overlooking the graphics to collect some King-sized wins!

I was bitterly disappointed by the symbols on offer in King of Slots. While there is a Crown symbol, in a slot based on a King you’d expect symbols to include a Castle and Throne, but nope. Instead Net Ent have opted for Amethyst gems, fruit, and dull playing card symbols – it simply feels like a shortcut in the design process which is a great shame.
Both the Wild and Scatter symbols are represented by Amethyst gemstones. As with most online slots, the Wild substitutes for all others aside from the Scatter symbol. There is also a Crown, Plum, Lemon, and Cherries symbol which are accompanied by Ace to 10 playing card symbols.
The Crown is the highest valued standard symbol with five on a payline paying out 1000 coins, while the 10 playing card symbol only rewards 40 coins for five on a payline.
Sticky Win

Unfortunately ‘King of Slots’ fails to live up to its title, and you will feel rather disappointed with Net Ent once you play it as a little more effort on the design side could have greatly enhanced the overall theme of the slot to match the big winnings that are on offer thanks to the Sticky Win and Free Spins features.
